DALLAS, Texas – Eastern New Mexico Women's Soccer (3-13-1, 2-11 LSC) concluded its 2024 season in Dallas, Texas, falling to #9 DBU (13-1-3, 10-1-2 LSC), 4-0, on Thursday night at Patriot Soccer Field.
DBU wasted no time to start the scoring, hitting the back of the net in the opening 101 seconds.
Rosie Willmott Joyce was forced into three saves immediately following the goal, as
Meghann Wingsutton replied with a shot on goal of their own. DBU doubled its lead in the 23
rd minute, taking the lead into the locker room 2-0.
Eastern continued to withstand the Patriots pressure, as DBU struck the woodwork and sent two shots on goal to start the second half.
Lauren Mora stopped the DBU shot streak with an ENMU shot on goal, but DBU grabbed another goal in the 61
st minute. Soon after, DBU potted a fourth goal, recording three back-to-back shots in the matter of a few moments, scoring on the final attempt. Both teams had chances to add another goal, including Wingsutton striking the cross bar, but DBU finished 4-0 winners over the Greyhounds.
