DENTON, Texas – Texas Woman's skips past Eastern New Mexico Softball, 7-3, in the series finale on Monday morning at Dianne Baker Field. The Greyhounds shift to 21-20 overall with a 14-19 LSC record. Texas Woman's improves to 19-25, with a 17-16 conference record.
The home team started the scoring in the 2
nd inning, with a two-out single bringing home the opening score. The Pioneers increased their lead to 4-0 in the 3
rd inning. TWU compiled five hits in the inning, with three RBI-singles scoring the runs. The ENMU offense was held to just one hit in the first five innings, while Texas Woman's added three more runs in the 5
th inning to make the score 7-0.

Eastern did get on the board in the 6
th inning, scoring on a bases loaded walk. The frame began with back-to-back singles from
Mikenzey Patterson and
Alondra Vasquez, then
Samyrah Sanders and
Samantha Gutierrez drew walks to bring the run home. Eastern navigated a bases loaded one out situation to keep the score at 7-1 TWU.

th inning.
Valeria Contreras started the inning with a single, then
Marissa Rodriguez reached base on a walk. Two batters later Vasquez plated both runs with a double to make the score 7-3. However, the Pioneers ended the comeback bid to take the game 7-3 over ENMU.
