Connolly Fires Complete Game In Opening Day Victory, 7-3

The senior right hander dialed in a complete game performance to help ENMU to an opening day victory

KINGSVILLE, Texas – Eastern New Mexico Baseball (1-0, 1-0 LSC) began the 2025 season with an opening day victory over Texas A&M-Kingsville (0-1, 0-1 LSC), winning 7-3 on Friday afternoon at Nolan Ryan Field.

Roman Connolly took the headlines with a complete game performance on the hill, totaling 93 pitches, allowing eight hits with three runs (two earned), with three punchouts and no walks. The Greyhounds defense behind him turned a pair of double plays, with Connolly inducing 15 ground outs.

Terilli gave the Greyhounds a great start with a solo home run in the first at bat of the game, then taking a 5-2 lead after four innings. Freeman and Gideon each produced RBI singles later in the contest, with Connolly using the run support to their advantage.
