PORTALES, N.M. - The Eastern New Mexico University women's soccer team will host West Texas A&M for a conference showdown on Saturday, October 18, at 12 p.m. at the Steve Loy Family Foundation Stadium, seeking its first win of the season.
 
The Greyhounds (0-11, 0-8 LSC) are coming off a 2-4 loss to Sul Ross State on October 15 in Alpine, where Louise Godden and Samantha Wood each found the back of the net. Godden leads the team offensively this season with two goals and four points total, recording 14 shots with five on goal for a .357 shot-on-goal percentage.
 
In the goalkeeper position, Rosie Willmott Joyce has appeared in seven matches, logging 558 minutes with 48 saves and a .593 save percentage. Kiley Patalan has played in three matches, recording 159 minutes with six saves.
 
Team statistics reflect the challenging season for ENMU, as opponents have outshot the Greyhounds 248-66 overall and 128-34 in shots on goal. The corner kick differential stands at 76-20 in favor of opponents through eleven matches this season.
 
The Lady Buffs (4-6-2, 1-6-1 LSC) enter Saturday's contest with a more balanced offensive attack, having scored 18 goals while allowing 19 through twelve matches. Aaliyah McPeak and Alicia Cohen lead WTAMU with three goals each, with McPeak adding two assists for a team-high eight points.
 
The Lady Buffs have outshot their opponents 143-124 this season, with goalkeeper Franciezca Blancaflor recording 45 saves, a .714 save percentage, and two shutouts.
West Texas A&M holds a commanding 20-5-4 lead in the all-time series against Eastern New Mexico.
 
Following Saturday's match, the Greyhounds will host Angelo State on Wednesday, October 22 during Homecoming Week, for another conference match up at Steve Loy Family Foundation Stadium.
