Greyhounds host Lady Chaps at Steve Loy Family Foundation Stadium

PORTALES, N.M. - The Eastern New Mexico women's soccer team returns home after a two-match road skid to host Lubbock Christian at noon on October 4, inside the Steve Loy Family Foundation Stadium.

SERIES INSIGHT
•    LCU leads the series 5-1-2 over the Greyhounds

SCOUTING THE GREYHOUNDS
•    The Greyhounds were selected 14th in the Lone Star Conference (LSC) preseason poll, with Gaia Chies (Offensive), Cristina Boluda Piqueras (Defensive), and Rosie Willmott Joyce (Goalkeeper) all being named players to watch.
•    ENMU has recruited a smaller first-year class, with 5 individuals taking part of their first collegiate season and 7 returners from last seasons squad.
•    The Greyhounds are coming off a road conference match where ENMU fell to Texas Woman's, 12-0.
•    The Greyhounds were not able to fire of a shot against the Pioneers while keeper Rosie Willmott Joyce tallied seven saves on the match.
•    Louise Godden scored the first goal of the season for the Greyhounds off a corner kick in the 82nd minute against UT Dallas on September 24. The ball slipped past the keeper's hands into the top left corner of the goal.
•    Looking ahead, ENMU will be back at home on Wednesday, October 8, as the Greyhounds will host St. Edward's for a conference match up starting at 6 p.m. at the Steve Loy Family Foundation Stadium.

SCOUTING THE LADY CHAPS
•    The LCU Lady Chaps were selected seventh in the LSC after receiving 392 votes.
•    Ella Spiller was named an Offensive Player to Watch, Emma Best was picked as a Defensive Player to Watch, and Emma Wright is on the Goalkeeper to Watch list.
•    Spiller leads the team with six goals, three assists, and has attempted 29 shots on the year.
•    The Lady Chaps have fired off 135 shots this season compared to their opponents 102.
•    GoalKeeper Emma Wright has started all nine matches for the Lady Chaps while recording 31 saves and a 0.738 save percentage.
