PORTALES, N.M. - The Eastern New Mexico University volleyball team will hit the road to face UT Permian Basin in Lone Star Conference action Saturday, Nov. 1. First serve is set for 2 p.m. CST at the Falcon Dome in Odessa, Texas.
Sophia Valdez continues to be a dominant force for the Greyhounds, ranking third in the Lone Star Conference with 282 kills and averaging 3.62 kills per set while maintaining a .202 hitting percentage. The standout attacker has also contributed 83 digs on the defensive end this season.
Addison Bartlett has established herself as a versatile two-way player, recording 159 kills (2.15 per set) while ranking second on the team with 197 digs (2.66 per set). Middle blocker
Amya Speller has added 124 kills (1.59 per set) and leads the Greyhounds' defensive effort at the net with a team-high 60.0 blocks (0.77 per set).

Violeta Flores has orchestrated the ENMU offense with 361 assists (5.16 per set) and has served up 18 aces this season. Defensive specialist
Imahni Brown anchors the back row with 349 digs (4.47 per set), ranking seventh in the LSC, while also leading the team with 24 service aces.
Aaliyah Butler rounds out the key contributors with 82 kills (1.33 per set) and 24.0 blocks (0.38 per set).
As a team, the Greyhounds are averaging 11.18 kills per set compared to their opponents' 11.86. ENMU has posted a .124 hitting percentage while holding a 10.15 to 10.54 disadvantage in assists per set. The Greyhounds have recorded 105 service aces (1.35 per set), 1,158 digs (14.85 per set), and 128.0 blocks (1.64 per set) on the season.
ENMU enters the contest with a 4-19 overall record and 1-11 mark in LSC play after dropping a straight-set decision to Angelo State last Friday. The Greyhounds are looking to snap a six-match losing streak, with their last victory coming against New Mexico Highlands on Oct. 13.
The Falcons come into Saturday's matchup with an 8-14 overall record and 6-6 conference mark. UTPB is led by Ashley Macias, who averages 4.09 kills per set with 188 total kills, along with 129 digs and 10.0 blocks. Makenna Grimes has contributed 172 kills (2.21 per set) and 163 digs, while Lauren Demuth has tallied 151 kills and a team-leading 42.0 blocks (0.55 per set). Kyndall Torres anchors the Falcons' defense with 223 digs (3.01 per set).
UT Permian Basin holds a 14-8 advantage in the all-time series. The Greyhounds' last victory against the Falcons came on Sept. 22, 2018, when ENMU swept UTPB 3-0 in Portales.
Following Saturday's conference matchup, the Greyhounds will travel to Alamosa, Colorado, for a non-conference contest against Adams State on Tuesday, Nov. 4.
