PORTALES, N.M. - The Eastern New Mexico University volleyball team travels to Alamosa, Colorado, for a non-conference matchup against Adams State on Monday, November 4. First serve is scheduled for 5 p.m. MT.
The Greyhounds (4-20, 1-12 LSC) look to snap a seven-game losing streak against the Grizzlies (13-10, 6-4 RMAC). ENMU holds a 17-8 advantage in the all-time series, though ASU claimed victory in the teams' last meeting, winning a five-set thriller.
Sophia Valdez continues to be the offensive catalyst for ENMU, ranking second in the Lone Star Conference with 305 kills (3.67 per set) while adding 88 digs and maintaining a .201 hitting percentage this season.
Addison Bartlett has contributed 166 kills (2.10 per set) and ranks second on the team with 207 digs (2.62 per set), while
Amya Speller has recorded 130 kills (1.57 per set) and leads the Greyhounds with 65.0 blocks (0.78 per set).
Violeta Flores has orchestrated the offense with 361 assists (5.16 per set) and added 18 service aces.
Defensively,
Imahni Brown anchors the Greyhounds back row with 364 digs (4.39 per set), ranking sixth in the LSC, while also leading the team with 25 service aces.
Aaliyah Butler has contributed 85 kills (1.33 per set) and 26.0 blocks (0.38 per set) to the ENMU effort.
The Grizzlies enter Monday's contest riding a three-match winning streak, including consecutive victories over Western Colorado and a win at Westminster (Utah). Adams State is led by Hadleigh Richardson's impressive 351 kills (4.28 per set), 199 digs, and 37.0 blocks. Olivia Lunt has added 193 kills (2.44 per set) and 38.0 blocks, while Katie Bauer leads the team with 70.0 blocks (0.92 per set) alongside 151 kills.
Following Monday's non-conference matchup, the Greyhounds return home to close out their home schedule, hosting St. Mary's on November 11 and St. Edward's on November 12.
