Women's Basketball Under Consideration In First NCAA II Regional Poll

ENMU is one of 10 teams under consideration in the South Central Region Poll

INDIANAPOLIS – Eastern New Mexico Women's Basketball is under consideration in the first regional ranking poll for the NCAA South Central Region, released Wednesday afternoon.

Eastern is accompanied by five other Lone Star Conference (LSC) schools, along with four institutions from the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference (RMAC). The full list includes: Angelo State (LSC), Black Hills State (RMAC), Colorado Mesa (RMAC), Colorado State-Pueblo (RMAC), UCCS (RMAC), Eastern New Mexico (LSC), Lubbock Christian (LSC), Texas Woman's (LSC), UT Tyler (LSC), and West Texas A&M (LSC).

The top eight programs in each region will earn a spot in the NCAA Regional Tournament, with two more rankings expected to be released over the next two weeks, the final selections will be announced during the selection show, taking place on March 9, and will be streamed on NCAA.com.

Eastern New Mexico are in the regional rankings poll for the first time since the 2019-20 season, when the Greyhounds reached the national tournament as the #7 seed.

Eastern currently stand at 17-8 on the season with a 12-7 LSC record and a 15-8 in-region record. The Greyhounds play their final home games this weekend, facing St. Edward's on Thursday evening with first tip slated for 5 p.m.
