Softball Ends Season In LSC Quarterfinals Against (3) #7 Angelo State, 5-1

Alondra Vasquez hit a solo home run during the game, their 32nd of their career.

CANYON, Texas – Eastern New Mexico Softball concluded the 2025 season in the Lone Star Conference Quarterfinals, falling to (3) #7 Angelo State, 5-1, on Thursday afternoon at Schaeffer Park.

The Rambelles opened the scoring in the second inning, stringing three singles to start the frame. With the bases loaded and no outs, a double into right field scored the games' first runs, as Angelo State took a 2-0 lead. An RBI groundout pushed the lead to 3-0 against the Greyhounds, while a single and double in the following innings lifted the score to 4-0 in favor of the Rambelles.

Eastern New Mexico broke up the shutout in the 4th inning with an Alondra Vasquez solo blast over the left-center fence. ENMU kept the sharp hitting going with a double down the left field line from Christina Meneses. A ground out pushed Meneses over to third, but they were left stranded as a flyout ended the top of the 4th. ASU responded with a solo home run of their own in the bottom of the inning. ENMU did put two runners on the top of the 6th, but the Rambelles got out of the jam unscathed, holding onto a 5-1 win over the Greyhounds.
