ENMU men's basketball welcomes Western Nebraska Community College transfer to Portales

Elijah Hollins will join Eastern New Mexico men's basketball for 2025-26 campaign

PORTALES, N.M. – Eastern New Mexico men's basketball is adding guard Elijah Hollins to the 2025-26 squad.

"Elijah (Hollins) is an excellent shooter who made 96 threes last season which ranked him 11th nationally in junior college," said head coach Daven Võ.  "We can't wait for him to get on campus."

Hollins comes to Portales after spending his sophomore season at Western Nebraska Community College (WNCC). He helped the program go 14-17 (7-5 NCCAC) and advance to the region IV semifinals where he was awarded a spot on the all-tournament team.

He led the Cougars in points (17.8), minutes (26.9), three's per game (3.3), and steals (1.6). His 3.3 three's per game ranked 11th nationally. The Greyhounds newest guard was named a region IX first team all-conference performer. He scored in double figures in 28 of his 29 total games played for WNCC. Hollins had a season-high 31 points in an early season nonconference game against Gillette College. He went 7-for-14 from behind the arc in the contest. Hollins sunk a three-pointer in every game he appeared in and posted 25 games with multiple three-pointers.

As a freshman, Hollins competed for Mississippi Delta Community College (MDCC) where he was second on the team in points per game (12.2) and three-point percentage (35.3). He also led the program with 42 made three's during the season. In his first year of collegiate basketball, he scored in double figures 11 times and made multiple three's 14 times during the season.

Prior to his time at WNCC and MDCC, he played for Tennessee Prep Academy and Pope Saint John Paul II Prep. At TPA, he was named the tournament MVP as his program won the USA national prep basketball championship. With JPII, he helped the team finish top five in the district for two consecutive years.
