PORTALES, N.M. – With just over 100 days until the season opener, Eastern New Mexico Head Women's Basketball Coach
Blake Huber has announced the 2025-26 schedule, looking to build-off a standout 2024-25 season.
ENMU will face a 28-game schedule, along with one exhibition. The Greyhounds schedule breaks down into eight non-conference games, taking ENMU to Colorado, Kansas, Oklahoma, and Nevada, while playing 20 games in the Lone Star Conference (LSC). Eastern will play in front of its home fans 11 times, with the home opener scheduled for Dec. 1
st against Southwestern Oklahoma State.
The Greyhounds start the 2025-26 campaign in Colorado, taking on Regis (Nov. 14) and Adams State (Nov. 15) in a pair of road clashes. Eastern have beaten Adams State each of the last two seasons, with the Grizzles making the NCAA Tournament in 2024 and 2025. ENMU stop in Oklahoma to face Oklahoma Baptist (Nov. 18) before heading to Wichita, Kan. to play in the Newman Classic. The Greyhounds will face Fort Hays State (Nov. 21) and Newman (Nov. 22) to close out the month of November. Fort Hays State reached the last second round of the NCAA Tournament last season, finishing the year ranked #12 in the final Woman's Basketball Coaches Association Poll (WBCA).
Eastern play three programs from the Sooner State to begin December, starting with the home opener on December 1
st against Southwestern Oklahoma State. ENMU dives into conference play with a home weekend against Cameron (Dec. 4) and Oklahoma Christian (Dec. 6). The Greyhounds conclude the first semester of conference play in a road clash with UT Dallas (Dec. 11), facing the Comets for the first time as conference opponents. Before the holiday period, ENMU will head to Las Vegas, Nev. for the Las Vegas Viking Classic, playing Western Washington (Dec. 19) and Simon Fraser (Dec. 20) from the Great Northwest Athletic Conference (GNAC).
Before heading into 2026, ENMU will play New Mexico State (Dec. 29) in an exhibition held in Las Cruces, N.M. Eastern venture to Sul Ross State (Jan. 2) to begin the new year, followed by a road trip to in-state rival Western New Mexico (Jan. 4). The Greyhounds battle the saints for their first home games of 2026, facing St. Edward's (Jan. 8) and St. Mary's (Jan. 10). Following a road trip to Midwestern State (Jan. 15), the Hounds begin a tough four-game stretch, playing four LSC teams that reached the NCAA Tournament in 2025, starting with Lubbock Christian (Jan. 17) on the road. ENMU then return home to battle West Texas A&M (Jan. 22), Texas Woman's (Jan. 29), and UT Tyler (Jan. 31).
In the final month of the regular season, Eastern will play five games on the road and three games at home, with all five road games occurring in a six-game span. ENMU heads to Oklahoma Christian (Feb. 5) and Cameron (Feb. 7) to start the month, then head to Canyon, Texas to face West Texas A&M (Feb. 10). A home game versus UT Dallas (Feb. 14) breaks up the road contests, while Eastern rounds out the road schedule against Texas A&M International (Feb. 19) and Texas A&M-Kingsville (Feb. 21). The Greyhounds wrap up the regular season against UT Permian Basin (Feb. 26) and Angelo State (Feb. 28) on home court.
