PORTALES, N.M. - The Eastern New Mexico University women's soccer team welcomes UT Permian Basin to the Steve Loy Family Foundation Stadium for a Lone Star Confefence match up slated for 2 p.m. on Saturday.
SERIES INSIGHT
• This marks the nineteenth meeting between the Greyhounds and the Falcons with ENMU holding an 11-7 overall record.
• ENMU beat UT Permian Basin last year, 2-0 on November 4th in Portales, N.M.
• The Greyhounds are 7-1 in matches played in Portales.
SCOUTING THE GREYHOUNDS
• The Greyhounds were selected 14th in the Lone Star Conference (LSC) preseason poll, with
Gaia Chies (Offensive),
Cristina Boluda Piqueras (Defensive), and
Rosie Willmott Joyce (Goalkeeper) all being named players to watch.
• ENMU has recruited a smaller first-year class, with 5 individuals taking part of their first collegiate season and 7 returners from last seasons squad.
• The Greyhounds are coming off a road contest in Alamosa, Colo. where ENMU fell to Adams State, 0-3.
• Five Greyhounds managed shots in the match against the Grizzlies:
Sloane Sinnott (one on goal),
Kaylee Baker,

Mia Jackson.

Rosie Willmott Joyce received the start for ENMU and tallied 7 saves in 59 minutes.
Aja Gonzales saw 30 minutes of action and recorded a pair of saves.
• ENMU will stay at home for a conference match up against UT Dallas next week on Wednesday.
SCOUTING THE FALCONS
• The UT Permian Basin volleyball team was projected to finish 13th in the conference, receiving 146 total points.
• UTPB's preseason players to watch included junior forward Cassandra Ramirez, senior midfielder Natalia Salas, and junior goalkeeper Valeria Delgado. It is the second straight year being named to the preseason watch list for Delgado.
• The falcons opened conference play this past Wednesday with a 0-1 loss to UT Tyler in Odessa, Texas.
• This will be the first road match of the 2025 season for UTPB.
