PORTALES, N.M. – The Eastern New Mexico women's soccer team dropped a conference match up, 4-1, to UT Dallas on Wednesday afternoon at the Steve Loy Foundation Stadium.
The Comets scored two goals in the first half before scoring another two goals in the second half to take a commanding 4-0 lead.
Louise Godden scored the first goal of the season for the Greyhounds off a corner kick in the 82nd minute. The ball slipped past the keeper's hands into the top left corner of the goal.
UT Dallas managed 13 shots, eight on goal while the Greyhounds tallied five shots with four being on frame. Keeper
Rosie Willmott Joyce recorded four saves on the evening. Godden took two shots and
Brooklyn Guajardo,
Simone Brothers, and
Sophia Jeffres took one shot apiece.
The Greyhounds will be back in action for a road conference match at #4 DBU this coming Saturday. Kick-off is slated for 12 p.m. (MT).
