PORTALES, N.M. - The Eastern New Mexico volleyball squad opens its conference portion of the schedule on the road against Texas A&M International on Friday and Texas A&M-Kingsville on Saturday.
SCOUTING THE GREYHOUNDS
•   Eastern New Mexico comes into the weekend after a 2-0 showing at the LSC Challenge. ENMU snapped an eight-game losing streak to start the season after defeated Sul Ross State, 3-0, and Western New Mexico, 3-1.Â
•   Eastern New Mexico junior outside hitter
Sophia Valdez was selected as the LSC offensive player of the week after averaging 4.43 kills per set with a .338 hitting percentage over the weekend.Â
•   Valdez leads the team with 126 kills on the season and is 3rd in the LSC in kills per set at 3.60 while freshman teammate
Addison Bartlett has registered 86 kills (31st in LSC) and 2.46 kills per set.
•   Transfer middle blocker
Amya Speller leads the team with 25 total blocks and has added 48 kills while hitting a .255 clip.

Violeta Flores is averaging 5.26 assists per set with a total of 179 on the season.

Imahni Brown collected her 500th career dig as a Greyhound on September 20, in a 3-1 win over Western New Mexico. Brown leads the team with 155 digs and is sixth in the conference, averaging 4.43 digs per set. Teammate
Addison Bartlett is close behind at 105 and has added 86 kills on the year.
•   The Greyhounds sit 11th in the conference in points at 14.86 and 520 overall. ENMU sits 11th in the LSC in kills at 11.09 and 409 total. The Greyhounds sit 11th in the LSC in blocks averaging 1.51 per set and 53 total blocks.
•   Looking ahead, the Greyhounds will  start conference play with a long trip next weekend in road matches against Texas A&M International on Friday and Texas A&M-Kingsville on Saturday.
SCOUTING THE DUSTDEVILS
•   The Dustdevils come into the contest with a 2-7 overall record and have lost six-straight contests. The Dustdevils defeated Western Colorado two times on the opening weekend at the BritKare Lady Buff Classic in Canyon, Texas.
•   TAMIU is led by Sierra Long who has recorded 66 kills on the year and averages 2.20 kills per set. Long os second on the team with 15 total blocks.
•   Natalie Cisneros paces the team with 157 assists on the year while teammate Samantha Estrada leads the team with 15 serving aces.Â
•   TAMIU leads the overall series 4-1.
SCOUTING THE JAVELINAS
•   Texas A&M-Kingsville comes into the contest boasting a 7-2 overall record and 1-0 in LSC play.
•   The Javelinas defeated Texas Women's on Tuesday evening in straight sets.
•   Kendall Harrington leads the Javelinas with 131 kills on the season for 3.05 per set while adding eight blocks.
•   TAMKU is second in the conference in serving aces with 77 on the season and averaging 2.26 per set.
•   Defensively, the Javelinas look to Monique Gonzalez with 128 digs on the year.
•   ENMU leads the series with WNMU 43-31 and is riding a three-match losing streak to the Javelinas.
