PORTALES, N.M. - The Eastern New Mexico University women's soccer team hits the road for a mid-week conference match up against Texas Woman's. The match is slated for 7 p.m. on Wednesday evening at the Pioneer Soccer Field.

• DBU leads the series 7-0 over the Greyhounds
SCOUTING THE GREYHOUNDS
• The Greyhounds were selected 14th in the Lone Star Conference (LSC) preseason poll, with
Gaia Chies (Offensive),
Cristina Boluda Piqueras (Defensive), and
Rosie Willmott Joyce (Goalkeeper) all being named players to watch.
• ENMU has recruited a smaller first-year class, with 5 individuals taking part of their first collegiate season and 7 returners from last seasons squad.
• The Greyhounds are coming off a road conference match where ENMU fell to #4 DBU, 12-0.

Louise Godden scored the first goal of the season for the Greyhounds off a corner kick in the 82nd minute against UT Dallas on September 24. The ball slipped past the keeper's hands into the top left corner of the goal.
• In the match against DBU,
Meredith Brown managed a shot on goal while teammates Godden and
Laci Lozoya each added a shot for ENMU. Keeper
Rosie Willmott Joyce tallied 12 saves on the evening after facing 24 shots on goal from the Patriots.
• Looking ahead, ENMU will be back at home on Saturday, October 4, as the Greyhounds will host Lubbock Christian for a conference match up starting at noon at the Steve Loy Family Foundation Stadium.
SCOUTING THE PIONEERS
• The Pioneers were selected third in the LSC after receiving 556 votes.
• Junior Giselle Gutierrez was named an Offensive Player to Watch. In 2024, she started all 19 games for TWU, leading the team with six goals—three of which were game-winners—on 33 shots (13 on goal), along with one assist.
• Gutierrez leads the team with five goals and three assists for 13 points and is currently third in the LSC in shots (27) and fifth in goals scored.
• Goalkeeper Amanda Farris has played in nine matches this season and has only allowed four goals and tallied nine saves.
• TWU is coming off a 2-2 home conference tie with Midwestern State this past Saturday.
