PORTALES, N.M. - The Eastern New Mexico University women's basketball team fell in heartbreaking fashion to No. 6 West Texas A&M, 84-83, Thursday evening at the Steve Loy Family Foundation Arena. The Lady Buffs secured the victory by knocking down a pair of free throws with just 0.5 seconds remaining on the clock.

Chloe Dallas delivered a dominant performance for the Greyhounds (12-6, 8-2 Lone Star Conference), recording a double-double with 26 points and 11 rebounds. Dallas was highly efficient from the floor, shooting 11-of-17 from the field while adding a steal and a block in 33 minutes of action.

Aaliyah Smith provided a significant spark off the bench, contributing 12 points to the Eastern offensive effort. Smith also facilitated the offense with a team-high six assists and secured five rebounds in a well-rounded performance.

Julieta Ceja reached double figures as well, tallying 10 points, four rebounds and a block for the Hounds.
Shay Moseberry added nine points and dished out four assists, while
Jaz Salon chipped in eight points.

As a team, the Greyhounds shot 31-of-59 (52.5 percent) from the field and connected on nine three-pointers. Eastern's bench contributed 28 points in the losing effort, showcasing the depth that has kept them competitive in conference play. The Hounds scored 42 points in the paint and converted 18 second-chance points.

West Texas A&M (18-1, 10-0 Lone Star Conference) was led by Karley Motschenbacher's 19 points, including 12-of-15 from the free-throw line. Kyla Kane added 16 points and Randi Harding contributed 14 points for the Lady Buffs, who shot 36.0 percent from three-point range.

With the win, WT improves its lead in the overall series to 82-20. The victory also allowed the Lady Buffs to snap a two-game losing streak against the Greyhounds.

Eastern New Mexico will have a week to regroup before returning to action. The Hounds will remain at home to host nationally ranked Texas Woman's next Thursday inside the Steve Loy Family Foundation Arena.
