PORTALES, N.M. – The Art Briles era is here, and Eastern New Mexico Athletics is excited to announce the Art Briles Legacy Reunion set for Sept. 4-5, 2026, in Portales.

"We want to bring all former teammates, coaches, coworkers, and student-athletes/players who have been part of CAB's incredible coaching career to Eastern New Mexico University for the first home football game of the 2026 season," said director of athletics Kevin Fite on the reunion. "Over the weekend, we plan to host meet-and-greets and join together to support Coach Briles as he leads Greyhound football into this new era. Please fill out the questionnaire so we can plan accordingly with activities that will bring together many old friends and loved ones together to support coach. This weekend will be a celebration of Art's coaching accomplishments and the start of his next chapter."

Weekend festivities are meant for all aforementioned former teammates, coaches, coworkers, and student-athletes/players of Art Briles. From his time at Rule High School all the way to his efforts with Guelfi Firenze in Italy. This event is meant to bring all of those who have been part of Briles coaching journey back together to support him in his new venture with Eastern New Mexico University.

The reunion will be part of the first home game of 2026 for ENMU. The Greyhounds will take on Colorado Mesa on Sept. 5 at 2 p.m. MT. The department is seeking interest in a variety of events. From a Friday night get-together, Saturday tailgate, and Saturday night postgame social. Filling out the questionnaire will help ENMU Athletics best gauge interest in the event and make it a wonderful experience for all. Please fill it out by July 2.

The department will then create an official RSVP form. This will be sent out to those who filled out the questionnaire and expressed an interest in being in Portales on Sept. 5 to support Coach Briles and the Greyhound football program.
