PORTALES, N.M. – The ENMU volleyball team sets out to Laredo, Texas to compete in the 2026 LSC Challenge hosted by Texas A&M International. Eastern faces Sul Ross State on Friday, Sept. 11 at 5 p.m. (MT) and the host team, Texas A&M International, on Saturday, Sept. 12 at 12 p.m. (MT).

SCOUTING THE GREYHOUNDS
Eastern New Mexico comes into the LSC Challenge with a 2-6 record after going 1-3 in both the 2026 Tiger Classic at Fort Hays State and the Meadow City Classic at New Mexico Highlands. The Hounds beat Truman State 3-1 and swept New Mexico Highlands in the last contest of the Meadow City Classic. Sophia Valdez earned all-tourney in Las Vegas, N.M. Valdez currently leads the team with 114 kills and is among the top of the team with eight blocks. Freshman Sydney Pipkin has stepped up and became a key player for the Greyhounds, leading the team with 268 assists, 87 digs, 11 service aces, and 12 blocks. Amya Speller is an important defensive player, recording 23 blocks.
 
SCOUTING THE LOBOS

• The Lobos have an overall 0-8 record on the season currently.
• Sul Ross has gone 0-4 at both the Virginia Harris/Jeanie Miller Invitational and the Volley in the Valley.
• The team is lead by Antyiahna Lang with 63 kills and Mia Espinoza with 103 assists and 52 digs.
• ENMU leads the series against SRSU 25-13.

 
SCOUTING THE DUSTDEVILS

• The Dustdevils posted a 4-5 record on the season after going 2-2 in both the Drury Invitational and the Reddie – Tiger Invitational and falling to Minnesota State University Moorhead.
• International is lead by Mia Molina with 100 kills, Giulia Gainelli with 249 assists and 79 digs, and Fernanda Izar with 13 blocks.
• TAMIU currently leads the series against ENMU 4-2, with the Hounds taking the victory in the last matchup in 2025.
