PORTALES, N.M. – Eastern New Mexico University women's soccer continues Lone Star Conference action Saturday afternoon as the Greyhounds travel to Odessa, Texas, to take on UT Permian Basin. Kickoff is scheduled for 12 p.m. MT (1 p.m. CT) at the UTPB Soccer Field.
The matchup will mark the second straight conference road contest for the Greyhounds after opening LSC play at Midwestern State. Eastern entered conference play with a 1-2-1 overall record after completing its four-match nonconference slate.

GREYHOUND ATTACK
Eastern New Mexico has found the back of the net twice this season, with both goals coming in the Hounds' 2-1 victory over Western Colorado on Aug. 29. Sophomores Arissa C'DeBaca and Addison Garver each recorded their first goals of the season in the victory. Raylene Carillo has been one of ENMU's most active offensive threats, leading the Greyhounds with nine shots and five attempts on goal through the first four matches. C'DeBaca follows with six shots, including three on frame, while freshman Aubrie Bolanos has placed three of her four attempts on goal. Carillo and Bolanos have also supplied Eastern's two assists. Carillo set up C'DeBaca's equalizer against Western Colorado before Bolanos assisted Garver on what proved to be the game-winning goal later in the first half.

GONZALES IN GOAL
Junior goalkeeper Aja Gonzales has played every minute in goal through ENMU's first five matches and has collected 30 saves. The Clovis, N.M., native opened the season with a clean sheet against New Mexico Highlands and followed it with a season-high eight saves in the win over Western Colorado.
Gonzales has faced 83 shots through five matches and carries a .652 save percentage into conference play.

SCOUTING THE FALCONS
UT Permian Basin opened the season with three consecutive victories, defeating University of the Southwest, 7-1, Wayland Baptist, 1-0, and New Mexico Highlands, 2-0. The Falcons suffered their first loss of the season in their LSC opener against Midwestern State, falling 3-0 in Odessa, then to St. Mary's this past weekend 3-1.
UTPB entered the season picked 13th in the LSC preseason poll, one spot ahead of ENMU. The Falcons are led by second-year head coach Garrett Kull after finishing the 2025 campaign 3-10-3 overall and 2-10-2 in conference play.
Saturday will give the Greyhounds an opportunity to avenge last season's meeting with the Falcons. UT Permian Basin earned a 3-0 victory in Portales on Sept. 20, 2025, with Corral scoring her first collegiate goal late in the match.
The Greyhounds have also enjoyed recent success in the series. Eastern's 2-1 victory over Western Colorado earlier this season was its first win since Nov. 4, 2024, against UT Permian Basin, snapping a 663-day stretch without a victory.
