ENMU Volleyball Drops Match to Texas Woman's

Amya Speller leads the team in kills on the evening

PORTALES, N.M. – ENMU volleyball falls to Texas Woman's this afternoon at the Kitty Magee Arena in Denton, Texas.
 
ENMU 1, TWU 3 (12-25, 19-25, 25-16, 21-25)
The Greyhounds dropped the first two sets to the Pioneers before fighting their way back in the third. Eastern hit a .257 in the third set with 13 kills on just four errors. Amya Speller led the team with nine kills and 11.0 points, while Sophia Valdez added eight kills and a team-high three blocks each. Aaliyah Butler chipped in six kills as well.
Sydney Pipkin ran the offense with 14 assists and Peyton Priddy added 10 as Eastern finished with 36 kills on .114. Defensively, Jordan Garcia anchored the back row with 19 digs and an ace, while Maya Perea added 12 digs and three aces.
