Participated at all six meets during her 2018 campaign ... Finished in the top 10 twice ... Earned All-Lone Star Conference honors after crossing the finish line in ninth with a career-best 6k time of 23:38.40 at the Lone Star Conference Championships ... Placed sixth with a 23:54.52 at the Lone Star Conference Preview ... Set a career-best 5k mark with a 19:06.2 at the Arkansas Chile Pepper Festival ... Came away with an 89th place finish, crossing the finish line in 24:28.2 at the NCAA Division II South Central Region Championships.
AS A SOPHOMORE
Ran in five events during the 2017 season ... Came away with three top 10 finishes ... Finished in ninth with a 20:38 at the New Mexico Highlands Jam on Sept. 9 ... Set a career-best 5k time of 20:19.73 for eight place at the New Mexico Junior College Invitational ... Placed fifth with a 6k time of 24:25.03 at the West Texas A&M Buffalo Stampede on Oct. 7 ... Finished in 133rd with a 25:01.86 at the NCAA Division II South Central Region Championships.
AS A FRESHMAN
Competed in one event during her 2016 campaign ... Ran a 5k time of 22:23.6 at the New Mexico Invitational.
HIGH SCHOOL
Attended La Cueva High School, she ran both Track and Cross Country all four years of high school ... Received a total of eight letters for both sports ... She placed second at the 6A state cross country race as a freshman, placed 3rd at the 6A state cross country race as a junior, this made her the most decorated female athlete at her high school ... In her senior year, she broke the state record in New Mexico for the 800 meter ... Swanson was named 2013 Cross Country State Champions, 2014 Cross Country State Champions, and 2012 State Track and Field Champions.
PERSONAL
Studying Health and Physical Education... Enjoys running... After graduation, she plans to get a GA position as a track or cross country assistant and receive her MBA, then pursue a coaching career.
