As a Freshman in 2009

Played in five games, helping block for the top passing offense in the country .... Helped Eastern to set numerous school, Lone Star Conference, Division II and NCAA records.

Before ENMU

Played for head coach Sam Jernigan at Roswell High School and Jeff Lynn at New Mexico Military Institute, both in nearby Roswell, N.M. ...Also competed on the wrestling team, winning two state championships in the heavyweight division and track, qualifying for the state championships in the shotput.
