Devin Houdeshell joined the Eastern New Mexico Baseball staff in Sept. 2022, serving a graduate assistant coach for the 2023 season.
Houdeshell comes to Portales after serving as a Lake Erie Warhawks baseball coach in Lorain, Ohio. In his role, Houdeshell developed game plans and made in-game adjustments to meet game situations. Additionally, Houdeshell helped athletes increase strength, agility, and game skill. In that same time, Houdeshell had an internship as a personal trainer for the Hiram College Baseball Program. As a personal trainer, Houdeshell supervised team lifts, designed workout plans, and developed player specific training profiles.
Before taking the internship as a personal trainer, Houdeshell worked as an Athletic Events Staff Worker at Hiram College. Houdeshell worked gameday staff for football, soccer, volleyball, and basketball games. With the athletics department, Houdeshell help run athletic event, taking on job responsibilities to execute game presentation and game running efficiently
While at Hiram College, Houdeshell earned a Bachelor of Arts in integrative exercise science in 2022. Houdeshell is originally from Sheffield Lake, Ohio.
