Biography

2014: Appeared in 11 games, nine out of the bullpen, one as a pinch hitter and pinch runner.  He went 1-0 with a 7.15 ERA, 11 strikeouts and nine walks in 11.1 innings of work and from the plate went 1-for-2 with a double.  Montano struck out two in an inning of work in his season debut against Adams State (2/9).

2013: Made 12 appearances including 1 start, compiling 0-2 record with an 11.45 ERA in 22.0 innings.  He struck out 10 hitters while walking 21 and pitched two scoreless innings with two strikeouts in first career appearance in second game of doubleheader against Adams State (2/9).

High School: Lettered two years in baseball at Sandia High School for coach Al Foster.  He was a two-year letter winner in wrestling.

Academic: Majoring in political science with a minor in anthropology.
