Prior to ENMU: Attended South Florida Community College in Avon Park, Fla., where he played two seasons under Rick hit helping the Panthers to 42 wins.  As a freshman posted a 3-6 record with a 3.61 ERA in 12 appearances, allowing 41 runs (27 earned) in 67.1 innings with 60 strikeouts and 27 walks.  Fanned a career-high nine batters in seven innings against Tampa (Feb. 25, 2012) and recorded five or more strikeouts six times.

Gray also attended East Carolina University 2014 where he pitched 1.1 innings, giving up three hits, two earned runs and striking out three batters.

 High School: Graduated from Northeast High School in St. Petersburg, Fla., where he was a four-year starter for coach Rob Stanifer and helped the Vikings to an 82-22 four-year ledger.  He earned nine total letters (baseball 4, basketball 2, and football 3) and was named team captain senior year where he posted an 8-2 record with 80 strikeouts and an ERA under 3.00.  He was named conference Rookie of the Year after going 5-0 with 56 strikeouts and throwing one no hitter.
