As a Junior in 2009 ... Picthed 20.2 innings over 17 appearances ... Struck out 19 batters while walking just eight ... Did not allow a run in three of his first four performances ... Appeared against Cameron (5/3/2009) in the Lone Star Conference tournament and tossed a scoreless inning of releif, allowing just one hit ... Picked up his first win of the season in releif against Northeastern State (2/14/2009), tossing 0.2 innings and striking out a batter ... Threw a scoreless inning of releif against West Texas A&M (4/21/2009), allowing two hits.

Before ENMU ... Was a recipient of the New Mexico Lottery Scholarship and played at Luna CC for head coach Peter Ortiz ... In the 2005 season at Las Cruces HS, earned North-South All Star, all-state honorable mention and was a first team all-district pitcher, while playing for head coach Henrt Carillo.

Personal ... Majoring in agricultural business with a minor in economics at Eastern New Mexico University ... His parents are Carlos and Rosa Sanchez.
