Brandon Perkins came to Eastern New Mexico University as an assistant coach in February 2024 with a special emphasis on coaching defensive backs. He was promoted to defensive coordinator in July 2024.
Perkins spent the last three seasons as a defensive coordinator at Adams State in Alamosa, Colo. In two of three seasons, his defensive back crew led the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference (RMAC) in total tackles. He has also helped the Grizzlies lead the conference in total turnovers forced. At ASU, he coached two all-americans.
He was a graduate assistant coach from 2019 to 2021 at New Mexico State where he worked alongside current defensive coordinatorÂ

The first-year Greyhound holds prep experience as an assistant coach at Tolleson HS (Tolleson Ariz.) and Cobre HS (Silver City, N.M.). In 2015, he spent time as an assistant defensive backs coach at Western New Mexico University.
Perkins has a master's in education from NMSU and a bachelor's in interdisciplinary studies from WNMU.
He holds recruiting experience in Arizona, California, Colorado, Kansas, Nevada, New Mexico, Oregon, and Texas. The Tucson, Ariz. native is a member of the National Coalition of Minority Football Coaches (NCMFC).
