AS A SOPHOMORE 
Appeared in nine games... Recorded 26 tackles (21 solo, five assist)... Had 12.5 tackles for loss which was third in the conference... Recorded 8.5 sacks for a total loss of 57 yards throughout the season... Forced three fumbles... Had a season-high four sacks against Lincoln (CA). Recorded a season-high five tackles against Angelo State. 

AS A FRESHMAN 
Exploded onto the scene as a true freshman with a Second Team All-LSC selection in 2019... Led the Lone Star Conference with 12.5 sacks on the year... Led the team with 14.5 tackles for a loss... Recorded four multi-sack games and received LSC Defensive Player of the Week honors after totaling six tackles and 3.5 sacks in the Hounds upset win over #21 Angelo State... Posted 3.0 sacks and an interception in the Hound's win over Texas A&M-Kingsville... Set the school record for sacks in a single season... Eight of his sacks came in the final five weeks of the season.

HIGH SCHOOL
Competed for head coaches Kyle Geller and Blake Meyer at Centennial High School in Burleson, Texas … Set five defensive program records, including most sacks in a game (4), most sacks in a season (13), most sacks in a career (17), most tackles for loss in a season (24) and most tackles for loss in a career (35) ... Earned Second Team All-District honors and received All-State Honorable Mention following the 2018 campaign.

Son of Rafael Richards and Jennifer Starkey … Hobbies include drawing and playing Madden … Plans to start his own business after graduation … Majoring in Business Administration.
