AS A REDSHIRT SOPHOMORE
Saw action in all 11 games during the 2018 campaign ... Led the team with 90 tackles and 13 tackles for loss, ranking eighth in the Lone Star in both categories ... Forced two fumbles and had two fumble recoveries to go with three pass breakups ... Recorded 10 or more tackles in each of the last five games of the regular season ... Finished with 11 tackles and four tackles for loss in a 55-9 win over Western New Mexico in the inaugural Chile Bowl game ... Followed it up with 10 tackles, 2.5 tackles for loss, a forced fumble and a fumble recovery in a 28-0 victory at West Texas A&M in the Wagon Wheel game, earning LSC Defensive Player of the Week ... Turned in a season-high 13 tackles, two of which for loss at Angelo State on Nov. 3.

AS A SOPHOMORE
Redshirted the 2017 season for the Hounds.

AS A FRESHMAN (WEST TEXAS A&M)
Appeared in every game in his only season with the Buffs... Totaled 30 tackles on the season.

HIGH SCHOOL
Played at Eldorado High School under head coach Charlie Dotson... Earned Second Team All-District honors in 2015 at linebacker and running back... Was a First Team All-District linebacker and running back in 2016... First Team All-Metro at linebacker and Second Team All-Metro at running back in 2016... Earned First Team All-State accolades at linebacker and Second Team All-State honors at running back in 2016... Was named the District 2-6A Player of the Year in 2016... Was a New Mexico Gatorade Player of the Year nominee in 2016 and was a NM Preps Mr. Football Award finalist... Named the New Mexico Defensive Player of the Year in 2016... Was a three year lettermen in football and basketball.

PERSONAL
Son of Leland and Camille Sweitzer... Majoring in Electronic Engineering... Enjoys camping, fishing, and attending concerts in his free time... Plans to move from New Mexico and start a career as an electronic engineer after receiving his bachelors degree.
