Joe Kripp

Joe Kripp began his responsibilities as Head Strength and Conditioning Coach at Eastern New Mexico University on July 6, 2021.

Kripp comes to Portales after four years as an Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach at the United States Military Academy in West Point, N.Y. During his time with the Black Knights, he worked with several programs including wrestling, rugby, cheer, swimming and diving, lacrosse, baseball, and tennis. Kripp was responsible for monitoring nutrition plans, utilizing programming modalities and philosophies to enhance Cadet performance and recovery, and collaborating on Cadet athlete leadership development through training plans.

Prior to his time at West Point, Kripp was an Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach at Western Illinois University where he worked with football, volleyball, baseball, golf, and throwers on the track and field team.

From May of 2015 to June of 2016, Kripp was the Director of Sport Performance and Head Strength Coach at the University of Nebraska Kearney.

He started his career as a Strength and Conditioning Coach at his alma mater, Eastern Illinois University from 2013-15. He was responsible for men's soccer, baseball, track and field, and football.

Kripp earned his Bachelor's degree in kinesiology and sport studies in 2013 and Master's degree in sports administration in 2015 from Eastern Illinois.
