Danielle Torossi

Danielle Torossi returns to Eastern New Mexico University as Head Athletic Trainer for the Greyhounds’ 14 athletic programs. Torossi rejoins Eastern after severing as graduate assistant athletic trainer from 2019-2021.

Torossi comes back to Portales after working as a stretch coach at BDY SQD in Boston, Mass. Torossi performed myofascial and trigger point release therapy on clients, based off of prior injury history.

Before heading to BDY SQD, Torossi served as a Graduate Assistant Athletic Trainer for the Greyhound athletic department. Torossi worked with football, softball, women’s basketball, and cheer during a two-year stint. Torossi worked with student-athletes for daily treatment, along with practice/game coverage. Additionally, Torossi contributed to the monitoring and maintaining of COVID-19 safe practices.

Torossi first gained experience in athletic training as an undergrad at North Park University, in Chicago, Ill. While with North Park, Torossi worked with several of the Viking athletic programs (women’s soccer, softball, track & field, and women’s volleyball) providing sideline evaluations, treatment, and rehabilitation plans. Torossi also gained experience at Lake Forest College working with men & women’s hockey, men & women’s lacrosse, and rugby. At Lake Forest, Torossi created summer strength and conditioning programs, practiced as head athletic trainer, and learned different tape techniques for different hockey positions.

Torossi also gained experience as a volunteer at many different events and organizations including: Bank of America Chicago Marathon, Chicago Luvabulls Performance, and Chicago Style Gymnastics Meet.

Torossi completed a Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training form North Park in 2019. Additionally, Torossi was awarded a Master of Science in Exercise and Sport Science from Merrimack University and a Master of Health and Physical Education in Sport Administration from Eastern New Mexico University, both in 2021.    

Torossi holds basic life support, first aid, CPR, and AED certifications, and a Champion Performance Specialist certification.
