Aaron Gordon joined the Greyhound cross country and track & field coaching staffs in September 2017. He came to the Greyhounds after two strong seasons as an assistant coach at Bacone College.

While at Bacone, he served as an assistant track & field coach and handled numerous administrative and coaching duties. Under Gordon's direction, the team set 10 school records, had four NAIA All-Americans, three automatic qualifiers for the National Championships, and the highest team GPA in the athletic department.

He also had similar success as an assistant at Augusta University and served as a private coach.

The Lone Star Conference will be nothing new to Gordon as he competed at West Texas A&M. He was a Buffalo from 2009-13.

• Broke two Peachbelt Conference records and Peachbelt Conference meet records
• Two NCAA Division II national qualifiers in the men's high jump and long jump
• 2015 Peachbelt Conference Freshman Field Athlete of the Year
• Two-time Peachbelt Conference Field Athlete of the Week
• Three-time Peachbelt Conference Champion
• Seven All-Peachbelt Conference performances
• Six United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association Southeast All-Region Athletes
