Brewer attended Cleveland High School in Rio Rancho, N.M., where he was a four-year lettermen under coach Shaun Gill.  He was also a two-time All-District 6A Selection and was the team captain the year the squad made their first appearance in the state tournament.  Brewer was a two-time Academic All-District as well.
