Career
James Gutierrez has posted a career mark of 13-12-5 headed into the 2016 season, with a .772 save percentage. His 5.2 saves per game stands as a Greyhound record, while his save percentage ranks second. Gutierrez is just the second ENMU goalkeeper to reach double figures in wins (Leif Craddock was the other)

As a Redshirt-Sophomore in the 2015 Season
Gutierrez appeared in all 16 games for Eastern and posted a 6-8-2 record. His six wins tied for sixth on the ENMU single-season list. His .718 save percentage was eighth-best in the history of the program.

As a Redshirt-Freshman in the 2014 Season
In his first year playing for the Greyhounds, Gutierrez appeared in 14 games. His seven wins tied for fourth on the single-season list, while his 0.90 goals against average was the second-best in team history.

As a Freshman in the 2013 Season
Gutierrez redshirted in his first season at ENMU.

Before ENMU
Prior to enrollment at ENMU, Gutierrez lettered at La Cueva High School for head coach Kevin Driggs. He was a member of the 2012 New Mexico 5A State Championship Team.
