Before ENMU … Competed for head coach Wendell Lane at Cloudcroft High School … Placed in the javelin at the stats championships three times, including one championship finish … Four-time district champion in the javelin … Placed fourth and third at the state championships for the Bears’ wrestling team, also finishing as the district runner up, twice … Also played for the CHS football team at quarterback and linebacker … Made all-state twice in football and all-district all four seasons.
