Attended Volcano Vista High School in Albuquerque, N.M., where she competed for the Hawks under Coach Elena Schrader ... She also played soccer in high school, was Female Athlete of the Year in 2015 and made All-State in cross country her junior year ... Placed second in the 800 meter dash third in the 400 meter dash in her senior year ... Participated in Spanish Honors Society and received academic letters all four years.
