Biography

As a Freshman in 2008 ... Played in 21 games with eight starts for the Zias, turnign in a one-for-two outing at Texas Woman's (2/28/2009) and three one-for-one performances as a pinch hitter at New Mexico Highlands (3/4/2009), against University of the Southwest (3/10/2009) and against Tarleton State (3/20/2009).

As a Freshman in 2008 ... Was one of the team's top pinch runners, appearing in five games and scoring in a victory over West Texas A&M.

Before ENMU ... A three-sport athlete at Manzano HS in Albuquerque ... Played second base for Coach Arthur Samora ... A two-time All-District selection ... Received the Coach's Award three times, the Underclassman Award once ... A shooting guard for the Lions' basketball team ... Recognized with the Defense Award and the Charge Award as a hoopster ... Competed for the cross country team ... Received numerous academic awards and scholarships ... Participated in FCA and SWAT.

Personal ... Will be majoring in elementary education with a minor in special education at Eastern ... Daughter of Kim and Vince Sanchez.
