Vasha Moore joined the ENMU Women Basketball program as an assistant coach in July 2023. Moore finished their second season during the 2024-25 season.
During the 2024-25 campaign, Moore assisted the Greyhounds to a 21-10 record returning to the NCAA Tournament for the first time since 2020 and winning the program’s first ever NCAA Tournament game, posting the 5th 20-win season in program history. moore helped the Hounds to a 15-7 conference record, finishing in 4th, improving on a 7-15 record from the season before. Moore assisted the Greyhounds to their first ever NCAA Tournament win, beating (4) #22 Colorado Mesa 56-52 in Denton, Texas. Season highlights included sweeping West Texas A&M in the season series for the first time in school history, winning at home 74-57 (11/23/24) and on the road 56-43 (2/27/25), along with going 10-1 in the opening eleven games to record the best start in program history. ENMU finished with three all-conference honorees (Nataya Lockett, Ishuana Hunter, and Jayla Smith), while earning four LSC weekly honors. As a team, ENMU notably had the best scoring defense in program history (60.5 ppg), while being the best defensive rebounding team in ENMU history (32.8 opp rpg).
In their first season with the Greyhounds, Moore assisted the Greyhounds to a 11-17 record, along with a 7-15 standing. The Greyhounds had a handful of key victories including against NCAA Tournament team Adams State (70-58), picking up home wins over West Texas A&M (71-70) and Angelo State (60-55), along with a season sweep of Western New Mexico (51-45, 53-45). Moore helped three Greyhounds to all-conference honors in their first season: Jaz Salon (All-Freshman), Deja Adrian (All-LSC Second Team), and Ishuana Hunter (All-LSC Third Team).
Prior to finishing their college basketball career at Texas A&M-Texarkana, Moore played their undergraduate career at Bethany College, located in Lindsborg, Kan. Moore played three season with the Swedes, averaging 9.2 points per game (PPG) and 6.3 rebounds per game (RPG) in their final season.
Moore has coaching experience at the AAU level, working to teach fundamental skills to team members. In the role, Moore worked to prepare weekly practice schedules for athletes, communicate parents and peers, and organize team travel.
A native of Weatherford, Texas, Moore earned a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science at Bethany College.
