Ana Ramos joins the Eastern New Mexico Women’s Soccer coaching staff as an assistant coach in September of 2023.

During the 2023 season, the Greyhounds won its in-state rivalry game with New Mexico Highlands (2-1, Sept. 6), while forcing a draw with Fort Lewis and West Texas A&M for the first since 2017 against both of those programs. Under Ramos, six individuals scored their first career goal. Samantha Jeffries and Sofia Trejo both earned recognition as LSC Players of the Week (Sept. 5). Ramos helped Jeffries to an LSC All-Academic nod for the second time, while six Greyhounds earned CSC Academic All-District recognition (Abbie Dickens, Emma Hafenbrak, Haley Huff, Jeffries, Sarah Tate, Sierra Villanueva).

Ramos joined the Greyhounds after working with the women's soccer program at McMurry University as an Assistant Coach/Recruiting Coordinator. Ramos aided the program to a program best 12 win season, and winning the teams first ASC Tournament victory. Under the guidance of Ramos, 15 student-athletes received al-conference honors, including Freshman Offensive Player of the Year and six all-tournament players. The Lady War Hawks received two ASC Team Academic Awards, while 35 individuals received All-Academic honors from the conference.

Ramos helped create and execute training sessions, along with assisting in game day preparations. Additionally, Ramos helped the Lady War Hawks program with recruitment and player development, build an alumni base, and organize, plan, and advertise summer camps.

While in Abilene, Texas, Ramos also worked as an adjunct professor and admissions data processor for McMurry. Ramos taught Coaching and Officiating Volleyball courses, working with the Moodle platform as a professor. As a data processor, Ramos assisted the admissions office with decryption and processing of applications and transcripts, along with reading transcripts for approval or denial to send to the review committee.

Prior to joining McMurry, Ramos held several roles at the University of the Ozarks over four academic years. Their primary position as Assistant Women’s Soccer Coach helped in all aspects of the Eagles program, including maintaining the women’s soccer budget, create and monitor the team’s strength and conditioning program, acting as a liaison between head coach and players. Ramos also spent time as the Interim Head Cheer Coach, Assistant Sports Information Director, and Fitness Center Director for the Eagles.

Ramos completed a Business Management Degree from Letourneau University in May of 2015. While playing for the Yellow Jackets Program, Ramos was a three-time Distinguished Scholar Athlete. Ramos has earned their United States Soccer Federation “F” License.
