David Kinuthia enters his second season as a graduate assistant coach for the Eastern New Mexico women’s soccer program in 2020.

Kinuthia joined the Hounds after spending the summer of 2018 as a coach for Swindon Town Football in the Community, working with development and elite teams up to the age of 18.

The Wiltshire, England native, played four years at the University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma from 2015-2018. As a freshman, Kinuthia appeared in eight games as the Drovers were named regular season champions and finished as runner-ups in the Sooner Athletic Conference Tournament. In his collegiate career, Kinuthia appeared in 37 matches and made 10 starts. Kinuthia was also named to the All-SAC Academic team.

Prior to playing collegiately, Kinuthia played for New College Swindon, a football academy designed for outstanding soccer players ages 16-19. It offers soccer and training in combination with full-time education and is sanctioned and supported by the Wiltshire Football Association. In 2012, Kinuthia was named the Most Improved Player and in 2013 he earned Player of the Year honors as his team finished second in the Wiltshire County Cup Championship.

Kinuthia also coached with Soccer Excellence Swindon, mentoring children ages 6-11 in local schools.
