Josie Matlick

Josie Matlick enters her second season as a graduate assistant coach for the Eastern New Mexico women’s soccer program in 2020.

Matlick joins the Greyhounds after spending time competing for FC Muri in Switzerland. During her time in Switzerland, Matlick volunteered for FIFA as a Vancouver White Caps team representative. In her role, Matlick assisted with operations for the Blue Stars FIFA Youth Camp. 

Matlick began her playing career in 2014 as a defender for Otero Junior College in La Junta, Colo. She appeared in 12 games, making 10 starts and aided her team to a Region IX Championship and a fourth place finish in the NJCAA national tournament. The following season, Matlick appeared in 15 games at midfield for Otero on their way to a second place finish in the region. 

Matlick transferred to Mars Hill University in 2016. During her two year career at Mars Hill, Matlick appeared and started in 19 games for the Lions.

Matlick has several years coaching experience, mentoring children ages 5-9.
