7 Alexis Aguirre

Biography

As a Sophomore in the 2015 Season
Making her first season in a Greyhound uniform, Aguirre made an immediate impact, and played a key role for the Hounds while starting 32 matches and appearing in all 125 sets.  She led the team in assists with 1,102, the teams go-to setter was integral to Eastern’s success.The sophomore also recorded 21 service aces along with 52 kills and 233 digs.  Aguirre had a single-game season high of 55 assists against Cameron on Oct. 16.

Before ENMU
Playing her first collegiate season for Odessa College, Aguirre quickly distinguished herself as one of their top players.  In her one season with the Wranglers, the freshman set the record for most assists in a single season with 647 and second for a single season in service aces with 45. Her play on the court garnered her a place on the WJCAC All-Conference Team as well as All-Tournament honors. 

Aguiire Helped Artesia High School to two consecutive state championships in 2011 and 2012, and was a multi-sport athlete who earned placed on the all-district teams for basketball, track & field and volleyball. She also earned a spot on the All-State team for volleyball in 2011 and was selected as an All North-South All Star in 2014.  Aguirre was a state champion in track & field throwing the javelin, as well as a member of the National Honor Society.
