Clay Lavigne

Clay comes to ENMU after serving as Assistant Director of Strength and Conditioning at the University of Sioux Falls (DII). He officially begins his role on June 20, 2022.

At Eastern, he will oversee the sports performance department where he will work directly with all Greyhound programs.

The Star City, Arkansas native, earned a bachelor’s in exercise science from Southern Arkansas University in 2019. At SAU, he assisted team workouts, maintained the department’s weight room, and instructed student-athletes on proper lifting techniques. While pursuing his education he also participated in internship programs at the University of Wyoming (2018) and Mississippi State University (2019).

Clay went on to serve as a graduate assistant in strength and conditioning at Troy University in Alabama from 2019-21. With the Trojans, he oversaw the nutrition center, ran mobility sessions, taught drills, and assisted the overall growth of the department. He is working towards a master’s in management leadership at Troy and is expected to finish December 2022.

At USF, he led all strength and conditioning programs for baseball, men’s basketball, volleyball, and women’s soccer and assisted with football. He also oversaw the implementation of the Sports Science technology at the school.
