Brodney Pool

Brodney Pool joined the Eastern New Mexico football staff as an assistant coach overseeing defensive backs in January 2026. He comes to ENMU after serving as the defensive coordinator at La Grange since 2023.

Over the past three years, the Leopards went 14-19 and made the 4A state playoffs all three seasons. Pool saw the team go from three wins to six wins between his first and second seasons.

Pool has college coaching experience. He was a volunteer analyst for the University of Houston during the 2018 season. He served the role after three seasons with the Baylor coaching staff in various capacities. Pool worked under Art Briles from 2014-15.

He is most known for his seven year playing career in the NFL. Pool played for the Cleveland Browns (2005-09) and New York Jets (2010-11) and recorded 365 tackles, 13 interceptions, 49 passes defended, and 5.5 sacks.

Pool played college football at the University of Oklahoma where he was a two-time all-conference honoree and made third team all-america in 2004. He completed his career in Norman with 144 tackles and nine interceptions.

He is originally from Houston and went to Westbury High School. Pool is married to wife, Kady. They have two children, Brooklyn and Blaze.
