Delino Lewis

Delino Lewis joined the ENMU Women's Basketball coaching staff in June 2025 ahead of the 2025-26 season.Lewis came to Portales after leading Lamar Community College Women's Basketball for three seasons, bringing a wealth of experience in player development, skill training, and recruitment.

Lewis joined the Greyhounds after a variety of roles at Lamar Community College. Primarily, Lewis was the Head Women's Basketball Coach for the Lopes for three seasons, while holding roles of Interim Athletic Director and Assistant Athletic Director for a short period. Coaching the Lopes, Lewis guided the team to a 27-59 record over three seasons, with a 12-17 record in 2024-25 being the most wins for the program in seven seasons. In his three-year stint with the team, Lewis coached several student-athletes to seven all-region honors, including one Region IX All Region First Team and Region IX Defensive Player of the Year. In total, Lewis has helped 14 players sign with four-year universities.

Additionally at Lamar, Lewis served as the Interim Athletic Director and Assistant Athletic Director providing help in the planning, development, and implementation of the athletic programs. He helped oversee the coordination of athletic events, ensure compliance with NCAA and NJCAA, manage budgets, and coordinate financial planning for assigned sports or department projects.

Lewis has an extensive background in player development, going on a decade of training all ages including professional players. Lewis built and carried out strength and conditioning programs, an has elevated athletes shooting, passing, dribbling, and rebounding. Additionally, Lewis also had the opportunity to work as a WNBA training camp coaching shadow to the Seattle Storm.

Lewis spent several years traveling the southwest as part of their playing year. Collegiately, Lewis competed for Tohono College, Northern New Mexico, and New Mexico before competing professionally internationally. Lewis' playing career spread across the globe, playing in Vancouver, Canada, Zemun, Serbia, and Puerto Penasco, Mexico.

Originally from El Paso, Texas, Lewis earned an undergraduate degree from University of New Mexico, with a Bachelor of Liberal Arts in Health Sciences in 2021. Lewis is continuing their education at the University of Northern Colorado, pursing a master's degree in Sport and Exercise Science with a concentration in Sports Administration.
