ALLEN, TEXAS — John Gilliam (Jr., San Bernardino, Calif. / Upland HS / Chaffey College) showed why he deserved to be named to the All-LSC team Wednesday, pouring in 18 points against the No. 1 seeded Tarleton State University men's basketball team (27-2, 12-2 LSC) in Eastern New Mexico University's (7-21, 0-14 LSC) 80-50 loss during the first round of the LSC Championship Tournament.

Gilliam not only led his team in scoring but added a team-high five rebounds as well.  The junior went 7-of-19 from the field while also recording two blocked shots.

Michael Randle (Sr., Houston, Texas / James Madison HS / Paris JC) went 3-for-6 from beyond the arc and was the only other Greyhound in double digits, finishing the game with 14 points.  As a team, Eastern shot 16-of-55 from the floor and 4-of-19 from the three point line.

Tarleton State is ranked No. 1 in the South Central Region and is expecting to host next week's regional championships.
