HOBBS, N.M. — The Eastern New Mexico University Volleyball team moved to 6-6 (0-2 conf.) on the season Tuesday, beating University of the Southwest (4-11 overall) in straight sets 25-13, 25-12 and 25-18.
Lauren Frye and Brooklyn Biel combined for 29 kills on the night with 15 and 14 kills, respectively. Biel led the team in hitting percentage with .600. The team finished with a very efficient night, hitting .398.
Alexis Aguirre finished with 31 assists, giving her a team leading 281 assists on the season. Andrea Aguilar once again led the team in digs, recording 12 of the teams 33 in the match.
ENMU is now 7-0 all –time against the Mustangs and have kept their winning record spotless, having beaten USW 21 straight sets. This is the only match the two teams will play this year.
The Greyhounds will take to the road Friday to take on San Angelo University in San Angelo, Texas. Tipoff is at 6:00 p.m. (MT).
