SAN ANGELO, TEXAS — The Eastern New Mexico volleyball team fell to Angelo State University 3-0 (25-19, 25-9, 25-21) Friday, falling to 6-7 on the season.
Angelo State is one of the better teams in the region this season, boasting a 14-3 record and a perfect 3-0 record in conference. The Greyhounds are now 0-3 in Lone Star Conference play.
Brooklyn Biel led the team with seven kills while Lauren Frye, Laura Landreth and Courtney Lawson all recorded four kills each. Lawson made her way back to the court for the first time after missing several games due to injury.
The team finished with six total blocks. Biel and Frye each recorded one solo block. Alexis Aguirre led the team in assists with 13.
The Greyhounds will remain on the road, playing against Tarleton State University Saturday. Tip off will start at 1:00 p.m. (MT).
