STEPHENVILLE, TEXAS — Lauren Frye recorded 12 kills and Alexis Aguirre had 19 assists in the Eastern New Mexico University volleyball team's 3-0 loss to Tarleton State University Saturday.
ENMU (6-8, 0-4 LSC) lost in straight sets to the TexAnns (12-3, 3-1 LSC), falling 26-24, 25-12 and 25-21. TSU is another LSC team on a hot streak at the moment, this match coming after the Greyhounds fell to Angelo State University Friday.
Frye's 12 kills led the Greyhounds on offense. This was her 11th match of the season with double digit kills. Frye also had a .400 hitting percentage on the day, moving her to .257 on the season.
Aguirre's 19 assists were joined by Kaitlyn Kluna with 14 assists of her own. Aguirre has now had 10 or more assists in every match this season for 313 on the year while Kluna is sitting at 124. Kluna also added two service aces on the day.
The Greyhounds will end their four game road trip with Cameron University in Lawton, Okla., on Sept, 29, before heading home for long awaited home stretch of six straight games. The Cameron match will start at 6:00 p.m. (MT).
