CANYON, TEXAS — The Eastern New Mexico University women's volleyball team fell in a hard fought match against the Colorado State University- Pueblo Friday, losing 3-1.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Greyhounds got off to a slow start, falling behind 0-5 early in the opening set. Four errors by ENMU stifled their aggressive play.
- Three kills by Alix Russell helped tie the set and besides a small stumble to give the Grizzlies another five point lead (19-14), the Greyhounds kept it close the entire set.
- The second set saw ENMU fall behind big quickly, as they fell behind 19-6 and could never make up the deficit.
- The third set saw the roles reverse as ENMU jumped out to an early four point lead and never look back. Up by as many as 10 points the Greyhounds never let up to take the third set.
- The fourth set ended up being the most closely fought set, with the score never differentiating by more than three points. Down 24-20, the Greyhounds managed to score one last point before the Grizzlies sealed the deal at 25-21, taking the match.
PLAYER HIGHLIGHTSSTAT OF THE MATCH- While ENMU had 138 attacks compared to their opponents 113, errors would ruin the offensive onslaught. The Greyhounds recorded 27 errors compared to the Grizzlies 11.
UP NEXT- The Greyhounds will continue the day with Lubbock Christian University at the Lady Buff Classic. Their matchup against LCU will be at 2:30 p.m.
